Certified Poco C71 & Redmi A5, launching soon  Leave a comment

We can now talk about Redmi’s new budget phone with credence since an overseas regulatory body has cleared it. The BIS has green-lit the rebranded Poco C71 and Redmi A5. The release of these devices is imminent.

The BIS just listed both devices in its directory. The index for the Xiaomi Redmi A5 is 25028RN031. The Poco C71 shows the same model number but with the letters “PC” in the middle. Model 25028PC03I is listed for the Poco C71. 

Both devices share the same specs sheet and model number, so every detail revealed in certifications or leaks speaks for both. The Xiaomi A5 4G LTE provides a good selection of features, including WiFi (5 dual-band antennas), Bluetooth, and NFC.

Xiaomi Poco phones have a variety of storage options, though their certification is pending. Minimum storage is 3/64GB – 6/128GB.

Redmi A5 inherits its predecessor specs. The Redmi A4 5G’s specs are listed below. An old variant of this product had a 6.88″ diagonal IPS display with a 120Hz refresh rate. However, it only had HD+ resolution.

Redmi A4 5G uses the Snapdragon 4s Gen 2, which is one of the most affordable 5G-ready chips available. The circular camera topology used two lenses and a flash with a 50 MP primary lens. The phone had a 5 MP front camera. The A4 5G camera produced mixed results.

Xiaomi provided an 18W charging kit for its Redmi A4. Redmi A5’s spec sheet could become the next budget king, as well as Poco C71 by relation. It’s believed that the Poco C75 is priced around PKR 32,000 on the local market, but we’ll have to wait for more details before making a final judgment.
