The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra officially broke cover today at Unpacked. After taking a closer look at its build, we are quite pleased with the device’s first impression. In spite of Samsung’s lack of attention to the hardware upgrade, the new One UI 7 software for the Ultra has changed a great deal.
There are a few obvious changes in the design. Because Samsung’s Ultra has rounded corners instead of pointy ones, Samsung was able to cram a bigger screen inside. Yesteryear’s 50MP 3X periscope telephoto remains the overkill primary lens. Second, the device has a 10 MP 3x telephoto lens. Even the cameras have AI ProVisual engines that are supposed to enhance the photos, viewsport, and editing capabilities.
Snapdragon 8 Elite (For Galaxy) takes care of the performance here. 4.47GHz compared to 4.32GHz on the original 8 Elite. Galaxy AI’s new features benefit from a 40% faster NPU on the SoC handling AI tasks.

It boasted a 5000mAh battery that provided a solid 14 hours of active use. If perfection is the goal, why mess with it? The S25 Ultra also has a 5000mAh battery and 45W charging. With a 12GB/256GB option, the new model starts at $1299, and pre-orders have already begun in overseas markets.
